Happy New Year! It was Mark, Shelby and myself. We just hung out and ate junk food and drank margarita's...Shelby's were non-alcoholic. Didn't even get a picture.

12.30.13 monday
My word for 2014 is ORGANIZE! I am hoping that I can stick to it and start purging and organizing. I started with my wrapping paper buckets. I have had stuff in here for 12 1/2 years that has never been touched. Well, it has now and it's in the trash!

Shelby was at Lydia's house in Massachusetts. She had fun spending the night, shopping at the mall and just hanging out. Lydia moved away at the beginning of this school year so they don't see each other that often.

Date night. Mark and I went out to dinner and took a peak at some Christmas lights.

Mark finished my claw foot tub. I really like how it turned out. We left the porcelain inside the tub alone. It wasn't in too bad of shape. He used a lot of body filler on the outside to make it smooth. He picked this up about 9 years ago out of a house that was being redone in Newton, MA. Finally it has found a home in my bathroom. Now we just need a faucet. Baby steps, people!

Merry Christmas! Michael came and spent until 2pm with us. It was a very relaxed and enjoyable day! My family was very generous to me this year...love them! My dad was able to come up and spend a couple days with us, too.

Gracie dropped off Shelby's Christmas gift. We picked up a huge "friends" tea/soup mug when we were in NYC for Grace that Shelby gave her when she spent the night.

Took a painting class with the girls from work. It was a lot harder than it looks even with an instructor giving step by step directions. I ended up giving my painting to Michael...he said he wanted it, which made my day.

Matthew playing "silent night". He spends a lot more time in his room now that Michael is gone. Some time in the spring we will repaint his room.

Snow blowed the driveway...and no, I didn't clean Matthew's car off. I don't drive it. We got about 10" of snow. With Michael moved out and Matthew sleeping I did it for the 1st time in years. I used the feet & hand warmers and was never cold in the 2 hours I spent outside.

Baking peanut butter cookies and making peanut butter cups. The cookies are the only gift my dad receives for Christmas (he is a bad gift receiver but a good gift giver)...and loves them

Shelby turned 14 today. We didn't celebrate until about 9pm because of basketball. Even though I made her Tortilla soup she ended up eating McDonald's on her way home. She has eaten Micky D's more this basketball season (they stop after every away game) than she has in her entire life...not kidding.

Spent the day in NYC with my mom and Shelby. We saw the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular...wonderful show. The city was beautiful, as usual, this time of year. It was the most crowded that I've ever seen it. I would never want to live there, but visiting is one of my most favorite things to do.

Michael packed his car to drop stuff off at his new apartment. I gave him all the items I bought for Christmas for his apartment early.
