Hurricane Sandy left more rain than I thought...the river is on the high side.

Hurricane Sandy came through. We were lucky, just dead trees blew over in the "woods" between our house and the neighbors. We didn't even lose power (that is a first). :)

My childhood friend and her husband came to visit. We toured the Red Hook Brewery in Portsmouth and the LaBelle Winery in Amherst. We had such a good time, though the visit was way too short.

Went to the Keene Pumpkin Festival. There were almost 30,000 pumpkins lining the streets of downtown. We actually were helping out with the lighting of them.

Had a tree company come and cut out all the dead and storm damaged limbs from 2 trees at the end of the driveway. If I had my way, they would have been completely cut down.

Brought Shelby to the doctors for a lump under her skin on her face. He believe it is 1 of 2 things...a lipoma or a dermoid cyst, neither one cancerous. We will need to keep an eye on it and if there are any changes we need to go back.

Out to dinner with coworkers & some family. We went to the new Japanese place in town. Fun was had by all...including all the sake squirts in the mouth :)

Cleaned out more paper and most of the stickers in my craft room. Brought them to work for a coworkers daughter.

Mark fixing my garage door. The spring sprung including the "safety" cable. Good thing no one or nothing was in the way.

Love having the laptop. Michael purchased a new one and gave me his old one. Pinterest is a time sucker!

I made Shelby brownies today....She got a phone call last night from Mrs. Irving (advisor to student council) that she didn't win the election for student council president. She took it in good stride and said "It's all good up in the hood". I am so proud of her for running.

Shelby has wanted these mustache stickers forever ... I finally broke down and bought them for her. She even looks cute with facial hair :)

Added a "spooky" banner to my halloween decorations this year. It doesn't look that great in this picture but I'm happy with the way it came out.

Shelby, Matthew and I spent the afternoon shopping at the new Merrimack Outlets. On the way home we stopped at Hannaford and Matthew wanted to try a Moxie. I tried telling him it's a Mainer thing and gross but he didn't want to believe me. Both him and Shelby tasted it and most likely will never drink it again.
