Did a wash this morning and my washer crapped out...Mark said that it wasn't worth repairing and went out and bought me a new set before he left for Pennsylvania for a visit with all of his brothers. He is so sweet, always trying his best to make things easy for me. I told him I would go to the laundry mat...He'll hook up the dryer this coming week.

I let the milkweed grow in my front garden...I have no idea where it came from, just showed up several years ago. Several of them flowered and give off a nice scent. I am hoping we will get monarch caterpillars...
I also won BB King concert tickets for a local radio station. I entered because Matthew is a fan so he and his dad will go.

Matthew's cucumbers are coming along. Despite the rain he has several on each of his 6 plants. The beans and tomatoes are looking good, too.

Shelby had her hair done and for fun I told Christine to make it into a mohawk...well we were cracking up trying to get a picture with Shelby's beautiful face :) Christine wants a copy to give to the "spiker" sales woman.

Mark, Shelby, Andy and Jen went to Hampton Beach. The sand sculptures were all done.

Shelby, Grace, Matthew and I went and saw Monsters University. We all liked it, very cute.

Do you think she's happy to see my camera??!! She needed to have a stress test to determine if the "extra" electrical pathway shuts down during physical activity...no, it doesn't. Next stop, an electrophysiologist, he is a specialists of the "electrical system" of the heart.
After the stress test we went to the drag races...first national event for NHRA to be held in the Northeast. Shelby loved it!

Shelby and Jenny...cousins getting to know each other once again. It has been a few years since we have seen Jen.

Shelby and Grace at the academic awards. Both girls made A/B honor roll for the entire year!

Matthew, Chuck and Sean hiked Mt. Moosilauke. Matthew said it was one of the tougher hikes he's done.

The AAU season is officially over. Even though we ended on a 1-4 weekend this was by far one of the best seasons we have been involved with. Thanks to coach Shannon and assistant coach Michaela the girls improved by leaps and bounds.

Michael with his drumsticks that Shelby made in tech ed. for him for his birthday. They are not perfect but all in all she did a great job. They will be a "keepsake".

Shelby went to see Ghost Town, an alternative band, with her friend Riley. This is Kevin, the lead vocalist. She also met Evan and Manny but not Alix. She was able to get all 3 of their autographs. She was so excited.

You gotta love them! Taking a break before the championship game....which we lost. 3 for 4 for the weekend, not bad.

No b-ball for Shelby or Kayla. Kayla took an elbow to the back of her neck so she was keeping Shelby company on the bench. First game of the day the team we were playing never showed up...and we won the 2nd game.

Went to Cactus Jack's for dinner in the pouring rain. Shelby and I had this dish....vegetable quesadilla. Mark had barbecued ribs and chicken and being the awesome parents we are we got take out ribs for the boys.

The basketball team took a field trip to the coaches 1st grade class room to check out the baby chicks. A few of the girls got pooped on which caused everyone to laugh. After washing the hands thoroughly the coach treated all of the girls to ice cream.

Shelby saw the pediatric cardiologist. She had another EKG, which confirmed wpw, echo cardiogram, which showed nothing wrong with her heart and they attached a heart monitor that Shelby will wear for 24 hours. She is scheduled for a stress test later in the month to determine if she is a hi or low risk for physical activity. For right now, no basketball, gym or any kind of physical activity.

We brought Shelby to the Urgent Care due to her passing out 3 times in less than 12 hours....she was diagnosed with Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome...an abnormal electrical pathway to the heart. We will see a pediatric cardiologist in the next 2 days.
